Microchip Identification

We are proud to support HomeAgain Microchip Identification System to our clients. This system will allow a pet to be reunited with their owner if they become lost. This is a safe, simple and permanent method to have your pet registered with the AKC Companion Animal Recovery unit, 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Animal clinics and shelters can scan lost animals and report the pet to a database that will give you a peace of mind and reunite you with your pet. This procedure can be done as a scheduled visit or during a normal check up. The microchip is no bigger than a grain of rice and contains a unique ID code capable of being read by a compatible scanner and is a passive device. It requires no battery and remains inactive until it is scanned.

It is an easy 5 step program if you lose your pet:

1. Chipping - Ask your veterinarian to implant a microchip.

2. Enroll - Fill out an enrollment form that is included with the chip or go online at www.HomeAgainID.com

3. Scanning - Lost pets are scanned by a shelter or veterinarian, revealing the unique ID code number.

4. Contact - The AKC Companion Animal Recover unit matches your pets ID number with the contact information in the database.

5. Returning home - You will be contacted immediately so that you can bring your pet home.
